   Hello Everybody,

   I am completely new to the game when it comes to customizing a vehicle. I just bought a 2001 Jeep Wrangler and am thinking about trying to do some modifications, mainly thinking about doing some lifts. Since I just bought it, have very little toy budget left, and don't have the facilities/tools/time to do a full suspension lift, I was thinking about a 2" coil spring spacer kit. Does anybody know anything about these? Are they any good, do they have any disadvantages, are they going to hurt my jeep? Mainly I guess, are they a waste of Money?

   Hi,

   On a small budget this is the best solution.

   There isn't a big difference between one manufacturer and another as these are just polyurethane
   spacers.

   For 2", no need of any extra changes (while starting at 3" you would need to change the brake hoses, the pitman and the penhard bar).

   I think, what for the real Jeep - needs the 3" lifting, and you not do anything with you brakes.. And 2" - best solution...

   Thanks guys. Also another question. Everybody around here (not an offroad group of folks) tells me that if I was to put any sort of lift, even a short 2" lift, that i would be so tipsy on the roads and off the road that it wouldn't be worth it. What is your experience in this sort of area. Does it make inclined side hills a little more spooky, or is this just a myth from the non-offroaders?

   Of course you should pay closer attention to the manuvering your doing and common sense. A 2" lift is not going to do to much about tipsyness. As you get more comfortable with your Jeep, that 2" is nothing.

   Again your messing with the balance of the vechile, so any adjustment could raise some concern. Just keep your speed down when your fish-tailing or making sharp turns on paved roads.

   Just be the Jeep when it comes to inclines. If you were it, would you tip over if you went up the hill (common sense).

   I don't think you'll have any troubles.
